Green Resorts

There are many environmentally friendly and eco-friendly resorts across North America. Our primary focus is on Green Globe 21 certified resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. We choose these resorts because Green Globe is the only globally recognized brand that assures commitment to improved environmental and social outcomes for a more sustainable travel and tourism industry.

A hotel certified by Green Globe 21 is a guarantee to you that the environment is considered in its daily operation and is not abusive towards nature and its resources, without sacrificing the quality of its product and services.

What else can I do to make my Destination Wedding green?

  • Print your invitations on recycled paper
  • Skip paper and postage all together and create a website and email your guests with the link.
  • Create eco-gift baskets with products that you enjoy for your guests.
  • Buy an organic silk/hemp wedding dress or choose a simple dress and suit that you can wear again.
  • If possible book your air with an airlines that is offering travelers a chance to help offset carbon emissions by planting a tree.
  • Let your guests know how important the environment is to you, and all the ways you have considered the earth in planning your wedding.
  • Visit www.idofoundation.org where you can find out wonderful ways to raise money for charity through your wedding favors, gift registry, and honeymoon!
  • Give tree saplings as a thank you gift from the National Arbor Day Foundation at www.arborday.org.
Our best advise, keep it simple! You are most likely having a Destination Wedding to avoid all the traditional wedding trappings so don’t feel pressured into old etiquette that just doesn’t make sense to you.

"Upwards of 80% of all American view themselves as “environmentalists”, desiring strong laws and green products.”
